Reproduction vintage shoes and Victorian and Edwardian Style boots made in the USA.

Antique footwear is rare to find. The best information on these shoes can be found in books on the history of costumes.
Some of the shoes made in the early 18th century were slippers made of ivory silk or ivory kid; they have a straight sole and pointed toe. Some styles are fastened with a ribbon or a pull string and are adorned with silk bows.
For collectors of antique footwear, the most valuable shoes are elaborately beaded shoes and boots of the late 19th and early 20th century. These shoes or boots were called a "dainty boot" They, as the others mentioned are hard to find and if they are to be found are very expensive and much too fragile to wear. The "dainty boot" has a tan leather straight sole, a square toe, and the body of the shoe is made of suede, leather, or silk. Some styles have side laces and a leather heel and or toe cap.
